    MIM Principle

     MIM (Metal Injection Molding) is a near‑net‑shape manufacturing process combining plastic injection molding with powder metallurgy.

    It is compatible with metal powders including stainless steel, titanium alloy, copper, iron‑nickel and more, enabling high‑volume custom injection molding of metal‑powder components.

    Injection molding serves as the critical intermediate step: feedstock is heated and plasticized inside the machine. The compound is injected at high speed and high pressure into the mold cavity. After cooling, green parts with defined shape and strength are obtained. The quality of green parts directly determines the performance and yield of final sintered products.

    The feeding port is fitted with a stainless‑steel liner with mirror‑finished inner surface to ensure smooth powder feeding and eliminate material blockage. Its non‑scratch construction prevents contamination by metallic debris, preserves material purity and further improves product quality.

     

    For advanced precision manufacturing, optional upgraded power and high‑response proportional directional valves enable high‑speed precision injection for one‑shot forming of thin‑wall complex parts. An optional vacuum unit creates negative pressure inside the mold cavity to reduce internal stress and minimize sintering deformation.
